02.21.2019: One Lesson of Math – Solving Rational Equations, Part 2

Today’s soundtrack is dc Talk: Intermission: The Greatest Hits, the last album the group released before they stopped dc Talking in 2000.

On the 18th, I learned how to solve rational equations; this afternoon, I’m going to try to finish up the assignment portion of the lesson.

I found a video on Study.com that explained the steps like this:

  1. Find the common denominator

  2. Multiply everything by the common denominator

  3. Simplify

  4. Check the answer(s) for an extraneous solution

I’ve completed the assignment! Tomorrow, I’ll move on to learning about the applications of rational equations.
